"If your parents had known the rules of money, the information found in this book is what they would have lovingly taught you as you grew up."

A Book Review of The Power of Money

The Power of Money by Dr. E. Bernard Jordan is chalk full of great advice that will allow anyone to regain control of their money and finances--and to get out of debt--if that is the goal.

The book is written in simple language but allows the reader to inhale and digest profound spiritual insights about money which Dr. Jordan masterfully illuminates in the work. At 106 pages, it is an easy afternoon (or late night) read.

This is not your typical “money management” book because there are no technicalities or complicated formulas you need to learn. Instead, it reads much like a friend having an honest to God chit-chat with you and your spirit about what you need to do to attract prosperity into your life.

If your parents had known the rules of money, the information found in this book is what they would have lovingly taught you as you grew up.

Using the knowledge and wisdom that Dr. Jordan imparts in this “story”, you’ll discover that the increase of money and abundance is just an outcome of your doing the right thing with your money as you acquire it and spend it.

In The Power of Money, Jordan gives us a total of 57 “Prophetic Principles” surrounding money.

One of the principles states:

"You must dare to interrupt the cycle of the present to move to the cycle of your future."

Another says:

"Money does not corrupt you, but magnifies who you are."

Jordon uses stories from the King James version of the Bible to illustrate the spiritual principles that he shares. These biblical stories provide inspiration and are a tremendous learning tool and reminder of just how awesome the Good Book is for creating change in our lives.

Additionally, the author gives us 21 Principles of Accumulating Wealth as a bonus. One of which states:

“True wealth will only last when it is based on truth and justice.”

And another says:

“Know the exact amount of money you want. If you do not have time to write it down, that means you do not have the time to receive it.”

All in all, the strength of this book, for me, was its ability to clear up in my mind what my relationship with money should be and could be. By making friends with money and learning about the immutable spiritual laws which surround its acquisition, the average man on the street gains the ability to become wealthy and prosperous and financially free.

This book is one of the few that I have read that I know I will re-read again and again as I focus on my financial as well as spiritual goals in life. Once I started reading it I could not stop reading it. The book itself came as a blessing to me (but that’s another story entirely).  It is also one of the few books where I just wanted to pick up the phone and call the author to thank him personally for sharing this gem with me and the world.

All I can say is if you struggle with money issues or are not making it financially or really just need to redefine your relationship with money, you owe it to yourself to read Dr. Jordan’s Book.  As Editor of Recalling Health to Your Finances, I highly recommend it.
