My top two recommendations are both spiritually based books. So if you need some spiritual writings to help give you a basic foundation for why you should get out of debt, these books are for you. Sometimes knowing why you need to do something can give you just the additional motivation you need to stay on task.
No matter what religious tradition you hail from, the advice given in these books should be beneficial to your financial health.

Christian Faith Based--The Power of Money
On page 72, in The Power of Money, Jordan states:
"You must dare to interrupt the cycle of the present to move to the cycle of your future."
On another, he states:
"Money does not corrupt you, but magnifies who you are."
